String Trios from the East [PDF]
- Their highly economical attitude towards sound — we are not talking here about minimalism, but rather a kind of maximalism, expressed through limited musical means that can initially give the illusion of being minimal (a world in a grain of sand) — corresponds to the extreme, often fragile, states of spirit with which they deal, and which could only have been arrived at by musicians with such a background.

T.Rigail. Le manque pressant d’une musique
remplie de choses vécues... [PDF]

A.Meleshkina. “Anthem in memory of H.Purcell” of Oleg Paiberdin: it is new decision of the old genre
- So, Anthem as old genre acquires new quality thanks to O.Paiberdin’s execution. Here is comprehension of Anthem in context of contemporary outlook. With peculiar invention the composer outlines some circles of sound substance (phonic, structural and compositional), treating idea of circle as return of ancient tradition on new coil of spiral. The author achieves of gradual pressure of these circles by various means, responding to present-day reality, which accelerates every time. Paiberdin steps aside from the declared genre as far as possible and at the same time restores to its primary meaning as anthem. Anthem in memory of H.Purcell is a hymn for H.Purcell and his epoch, when composition invention had been estimated.

A.Meleshkina. A search of artist priority in O.Paiberdin’s creation
- Choosing this or that historically structured music genre, O.Paiberdin contemplates it as new one, thinking over ancient things in the material of contemporary possibilities. Often such links open original meanings of genres. In basis of O.Paiberdin’s intentions lies legible rationalism. And this corresponds to epoch, in which the composer becomes author of new devices, which are not only forming any ideas, but which are themselves ideas.

N.Ivanchuk. Composer Oleg Paiberdin
- “I think that artist has a litle of that, that he has to tell about that,—Oleg Paiberdin speaks.—Above all, artist must size up himself creative possibilities correctly.” For the young composer it is particularly important to understend himself vocation and to hear inside of himself. O.Paiberdin convinced that he can write not so much music, but it must be peculiar answer for his inner impetus. Provincialism is specific comprehension of the world for O.Paiberdin. It is peculiar antithesis for unspirituality, tastelessness, commerce approach to art and publicity, which absorbs all around. Therefore, the composer seeks to actualize himself ideas in that sphere, where he has possible to stop on things, which are the more close to him. Currently, the composer supposes, it is one of methods for “spiritual security” of artist.

LACONICA. MUSIC, SHORTLY: micro-miniatures from 1 second before 1 minute [the Ural philharmonic project]
- Today the world is quickly disappearing situation. But incapacity to speak about future exactly and certainly is not justification for silence. The better to have imagination and inspiration, then “to be right”. Future comes rapidly, therefore the aim of the project is some test for personal concentration of attention and reception of extremely compressed works. We run not to amusement but we flow rapidly to extreme creative effort not only for composers but for audiance as well.
